Crederity takes reasonable measures to help secure our service, including:
Data Transmission
Secure Socket Layer SSL high-grade encryption (128 or 256 bit) is used to secure all sensitive data transmissions.
Servers
Crederity servers are protected from intrusion. The actual hardware is
hosted in 24/7 secured and power redundant geographically dispersed
facilities located in the United States. The servers are protected by
both hardware and software firewalls and are McAfee HackerSafe
certified.
Data
Where possible, data is stored independently of personally
identifiable information. Crederity also negotiates with verifying
authorities to minimize the amount of data required in order to
complete a verification and does not unnecessarily retransmit sensitive
data once a verification has been completed.
Physical Operations
Operations facilities are secured with physical security and
alarm systems, 24/7 surveillance, and biometrically controlled
entryways. Personnel are carefully screened, background checked, and
bound to confidentiality, and human access to data is limited on a
need-to-know basis only.
Security Audits
Crederity periodically reviews and revises its security practices in order to improve them.
Best Practices
Crederity is a member of and conforms to the security protocol
of NAPBS, a national organization of professional background screening
agencies. Crederity is also a member of ASIS International, a security
organization, and is ISO certified. Crederity is also an authorized
Designated Agent of the Homeland Security Department's employment
eligibility program. As mentioned previously, our servers are McAfee
HackerSafe certified.
